Chris is the co-founder of AtomEthics, bringing two decades of experience at the forefront of digital transformation, smart cities, and data innovation. In addition, Chris heads up the consulting practice at Hypereal, guiding companies, utlities and government bodies on digital programs, IT governance, service design, and IT strategy.

His career spans federal and local government, where he pioneered customer-focused solutions, modern technologies, and agile ways of working to enhance public services.
​
Chris also founded GovDifferently, a govtech service company, and co-founded GovStyle, a content creation tool for government. He served as Director at the Australian Government Department of Human Services and led digital strategy at the City of Casey and Bayside City Council in Victoria.

Chris's extensive public sector experience and innovative approach position him as a credible leader, driving AtomEthics' mission of ethical and sustainable digital transformation.

As the founder of AtomEthics, he is shaping the future of ethical AI, data, and technology governance, ensuring innovation is both responsible and impactful.

Outside work Chris is busy with three young kids and is a keen, if not entirely gifted, MAMIL.
Catherine Thompson is the co-founder of AtomEthics, an innovative enterprise platform developed by Hypereal, a leader in human centered design.
As a leader in government, the private sector and startups, Cath has been at the forefront of Australia’s digital capability uplift. Her career spans key digital, procurement and consultancy roles with Australian Commonwealth government and major financial institutions, including ANZ, Deutsche Bank, and National Westminster Bank.
Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Melbourne, Cath’s research focuses on building trust in the digital economy. With deep industry expertise and a clear vision for responsible innovation, Cath brings credibility and insight to one of the most critical conversations of our time.

Outside work, Cath is one of a handful of women to have raced in a world championship motorcycle Grand Prix and has at various times been a yoga teacher, ski instructor and competitive bodybuilder.
